CMAP : Planning for a Sustainable Local Food System

$46 billion in food purchases leave the state of Illinois every year. By producing more of the food we consume locally, we could see a $2.5 billion economic benefit to our region. That's why we were excited to collaborate with design studio Thirst and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning on a short film which shows local food production as an important economic issue. The film, which was created for CMAP's local food microsite, personalizes the story by using interviews with farmers, consumers and restaurateurs. Type-driven CG transitions and documentary-style footage provide a rich visual track for the story. Click to view the complete film, Planning for A Sustainable Local Food System.
